glass study space
Built by a college student, for college life.

Be in the lecture.
Come back ready.

I built Glass Study Space as a college student tired of piecing together recordings, slides, and half-finished notes before a test. Keep your class in one place, then turn it into study material you can actually use.

One place, from class to review

Keep the context.
Spend less time assembling it.

01

Capture the class.

Record live in Chrome, or upload a recording from your phone. Save the original audio and jump back through timestamped transcript lines.

02

Add what matters.

Type your questions and rough notes. Attach the day's slides. Your notes help steer the study material toward what you found confusing.

03

Make it stick.

Create summaries, concept explanations, flashcards, and quizzes in your preferred study language—or combine lectures into a university-style practice exam. Choose from 100 languages. Reopen saved results and retry quizzes without spending more credits.

Built through actual lectures

A working study desk.

I built and refined the lecture tool behind this through two months of my own college classes. I know the scramble before a quiz: a long recording, scattered slides, and notes that made sense only in the moment. Glass Study Space is my answer to that student problem, with clear prices and no automatic renewal.

  • Study in 100 languages, with 14 translations for main workspace controls
  • Light and dark workspace themes
  • Choose mixed, multiple-choice, short-answer, essay, application, or true/false exams
  • Course folders and search
  • Interactive quizzes with explanations
  • Assignments and deadlines extracted in summaries
  • Highlight a passage for an explanation
  • Full backups with recordings and slides

Pay for the time you need. No auto-renewal.

Better long-term value
Semester pass
$39 / 16 weeks
  • 40 hours of uploaded-audio transcription
  • 160 standard study generations
  • 80 highlighted-text explanations
  • Summaries, concepts, cards, quizzes, and combined practice exams
  • Saved results, local recording, and backups remain accessible

Source-size limits apply. Each standard generation uses one allowance; saved review is free. Advanced requests use separate credits. No automatic device sync.

One-week pass
$8.99 / 7 days

Just want to try a week? Start small. No subscription, no automatic renewal.

  • 3 hours of uploaded-audio transcription
  • 12 standard study generations
  • 6 highlighted-text explanations
  • Saved results stay yours to review

Advanced slide/Deep add-ons require a semester pass. Sixteen separate weeks would cost $143.84; the $39 semester pass costs less over the full term.

Two-lecture trial · Invite access

Two transcription hours, eight standard generations, and four explanations over 14 days. Activate your invite key in the workspace.

Advanced study · $12 for 40 credits

Optional slide study uses one advanced credit. Deep study with the stronger model uses four. Confirm the cost before generating; no standard generations are deducted.

Extra transcription · $9 for 20 hours

Add more uploaded-audio hours to an active paid semester pass. Add-on allowances expire with that pass.

Before you start

A few practical things.

Will it work on my phone?

You can open the web workspace on a phone. For long phone recordings, use Voice Memos or your device's recorder, then upload the audio. Chrome desktop is recommended for live transcription. Uploads can be up to two hours and 120 MB; the app sends smaller audio chunks automatically.

Where are my lectures stored?

In this browser on this device. You do not need an account to save them, and signing into Chrome or Google does not sync them. Clearing browsing history alone is different from clearing cookies and site data; clearing site data can erase the library.

How do I back up or move my lectures?

In the workspace, choose ••• → Back up everything → Save full backup. Move the downloaded .lsbackup file privately to your other device, then choose ••• → Restore backup there. It contains recordings and slides and is not encrypted, so keep it private. A paid access key unlocks service features on another device but does not restore a lost lecture. If local data is erased without a backup, we cannot recover it.

Do I need AI API accounts?

No. Once commercial services are enabled, activate a Glass Study Space access key. Provider credentials remain on the server.

What happens when my pass ends?

You can continue recording locally, reading saved results, replaying audio, and exporting backups. New transcription and AI generation require active access and remaining allowance.

Can I record any lecture?

Only record or upload material you have permission to process. Follow your instructor's and institution's recording rules. AI features send the required material to online providers. Permission to record does not automatically permit AI uploads or sharing. Review exported summaries before sharing them.
